Natural recreation - it's an easy bet that you'll find a satisfying outing whether you hike, swim, fish, cross-country ski or cycle. There are more than 30 areas listed here to entice you to get out and get going in Huron County, along the tracks and trails and in all kinds of weather, every season of the year. Make sure you bring your camera and binoculars. You won't want to miss adding to your bird count totals or finding a species you've never seen before.

Setting out along a new trail will be an exciting activity for the young hikers in the family who'll want to race ahead and dawdle in the streams that meander under the wooden walkways. There are bridges that will provide plenty of photo opportunities to capture the memorable outings with friends. Bring along the backpacks brimming with snacks and a thermos or two.

You'll find places to sit and enjoy the quiet pace and spectacular views out over the river valley and shoreline as well as unique marsh viewing stands. Enjoy the buzz of the insects and bird calls, the yip of the fox and splash of jumping fish. Find a favourite trail in Huron County's landscape and relish the peace and quiet of the natural escape.
