Behind the Bars is an immersive after hours tour that lets you experience what life was like at the Huron Historic Gaol (jail)!
Interact with actors portraying past inmates and staff in the real cells and yards where their stories happened! Guests can make their way through the building at their own pace, and may meet different characters each night.
The Huron Historic Gaol is Huron County’s only designated National Historic Site and was operational 1841-1972. Behind the Bars shares the true stories of the people who worked or lived at the gaol between 1841 and 1923–find out how they ended up behind bars!
WHEN: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7-9 pm in July & August (last entry at 8 pm). Starting Tuesday, July 4.
Doors open right at 7pm (no need to arrive early).
