Borrow Snowshoes

With all of this freshly fallen snow, snowshoes are a perfect way to explore the many amazing trails found throughout the County. Give this fun winter activity a try by borrowing a pair of snowshoes from the Huron County Library!
Snowshoes are available to borrow for one week and come in children and adult sizes. Place a hold through our online catalogue:
Provincial Park Passes

Visit our online catalogue or contact your local branch to place a hold on a permit that will give you day-use access to any provincial park, including those closest to home, Point Farms and Pinery Provincial Parks. Permits can be borrowed for one week and cannot be renewed – patrons will be charged $50 and have their accounts blocked for lost permits. The permit entitles one vehicle (excluding buses) and its occupants to enter any provincial park subject to park regulations.
Please be sure to visit the Ontario Parks website (www.ontarioparks.com) for the most up-to-date information about park locations, hours of operation, and closures before venturing out.

Between English classes, job interviews and missing their home in Syria, Salma’s mama hasn’t smiled much lately. A homemade Syrian meal might cheer her up…but Salma doesn’t know the recipe, or what to call the vegetables in English, or where to find the right spices! Luckily, the staff and other newcomers in her Welcome Home have all kinds of skills to share. But even with their help, can Salma cook the Shami Foul before Mama gets home?
