Museums & Attractions
was opened in 1987 to house the doll collection of the Hamilton family. This unique museum has displays of over six thousand dolls dating from 1840 to the present. Many of the dolls on display come from all over the world, although a large number have been donated by local families from the Wroxeter and Wingham area.
Visitors will also enjoy viewing numerous other doll related items, such as dishes, cradles, baby buggies, tea sets, pictures, doll houses and other children's toys. The history of dolls can be traced through each era, as many of the dolls are made from wax, tin, china, wood, bisque and composition. The Gingerbread Doll Museum also houses many one-of-a-kind dolls, including a complete set of the Royal Family dating back to Queen Victoria.
