Follow the rural routes to farms and communities that celebrate the best in foods - fresh from the field to the fork in some cases! With soils that make Huron County one of the most productive in Ontario and a leader in innovation and technology, it's no wonder that you'll delight in the fresh harvest of seasonal fruits, vegetables, fish, maple products, organic meats and even chocolate too. Farm vendors at the markets show their pride in locally grown foods and share their tips for preparation. You'll find fruits and vegetables of course, but added to that list of farm fresh is wool, yarn and blankets, lambskins and sweater kits, nursery stock, hanging baskets, maple syrup and candies. There are specialty food shops that feature the finest in the region's food suppliers with chef-quality prepared foods and artisanal cheese and foodstuffs. Give in to the urge to share the bounty of the harvest you'll find on the shelves and at the farm gates along our countryside and coastline. Many producers listed in this section are also vendors at our Farm and Vendor Markets.

The Bayfield Farmers’ Market is hosted in Clan Gregor Square every Friday evening from 3-7 p.m., from May 19-Oct. 6.

The Brussels Farmers’ Market is held every Friday from 2-6 p.m. from May 19 to September 1 and can be found across from the post office in the village’s historic downtown.

Located at the Dungannon Fair Grounds. Open Saturdays 9 - 11:30 a.m. Victoria Day to Labour Day Weekend.

Visit Courthouse Park every Saturday from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. for the Goderich Farmers’ Market. The market starts Victoria Day weekend, May 20, and runs until Thanksgiving, October 7.


The Goderich Makers’ Market is a seasonal, indoor market that is held at the Huron County Museum through the winter months. The market runs weekly from November 11 to December 23, 2017, then runs the first Saturday of each month from January to April 2018.

Located outside of the Howick Community Centre at 45088 Harriston Rd., the Howick Farmers’ Market runs Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 12 noon, starting June 3 until September 30.

The Wingham Farmers’ Market is held in Cruickshank Park every Wednesday afternoon, 2:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. from June until September.
