What’s the essence of a place? As travelers how can we discover the character of place in a limited amount of time? Here are some of our suggestions to help guide you towards experiencing the unique characteristics and charms of Ontario’s West Coast.

The Historic Main Street of Bayfield has an Arts and Culture vibe, exceptional dining in a laid-back atmosphere, mixed with that village on the waterfront/vacation feel.

Canada’s Prettiest Town

Dubbed “Canada’s Prettiest Town” the charm of Goderich is easily seen in its historic Square. The park-like Square acts as the hub of the community. Ringed by retail shops and restaurants and the site of the weekly Farmers’ Market and many of the town’s festivals and events.

Farm-to-Table Dining

We grow and produce a wide array of exceptional food and beverages in Huron County. Visitors can experience the fruits of those labours by enjoying the unforgettable Farm-to-Table dining experience prepared by talented local chefs.

Goderich to Guelph Rail Trail

Following a former railway line, the 132 km Goderich to Guelph Rail Trail (G2G) connects Goderich and Guelph. Experience the rural landscape by hiking or cycling along the trail passing by farmers’ fields and open countryside to the Lake Huron coastline.

Sunsets from Pioneer Park in Bayfield

We have some of the best sunsets in the world. Anywhere along the shoreline makes for great sunset viewing but many locals say Pioneer Park in Bayfield is an especially good vantage point.
