Experience beautiful, rural scenery and diverse landscapes on a cycling adventure through Huron County! Hit the paved roads suited for both road and mountain bicycles, and cycle the rural landscapes varying from flat to rolling hills—with the occasional demanding climb.

Exeter 36-50

Difficulty: Coming Soon
Length: 45 km
Start: Exeter Main Street or Morrison Dam Conservation Area

Nice figure 8 route on the quietest roads in the area. Flat to slightly rolling terrain. Exeter has all the hospitality you might need.

Grand Bend 15-25

Difficulty: Easy
Length: 22 km
Start: Grand Bend

Starts and finishes in the hub of the Bend. Make sure to stay in single file and together as you follow #81/Main Street East out of town. The highway curls to the south, so once past the Speedway move to the left turn lane and once again head east on #10/Crediton Road. This quieter road will put you in to a rural landscape of farm fields, trees and country homes. When you reach Shipka, use Shipka Line northward to continue your gentle, flat ride through farm country. Turning west at #83/Dashwood Road begins your ride back to Grand Bend. Port Blake Beach awaits you across the intersection with Highway #21 should you care to enjoy beach and water vistas from shoreline shade. South on Highway #21 provides a large paved shoulder to ease your return back to Main Street, where the many amenities allow you to reward yourself for your cycling efforts.

Grand Bend 26-35

Difficulty: Easy
Length: 32 km
Start: Grand Bend

As you leave Main Street, using the Highway #21 shoulder and/or bike path to head south past wooded Southcott Pines, Beach O’Pines and Huron Woods towards Pinary y Provincial Park. Use Klondyke Road to get you in to open fields and flat country roads. #5/Greenway Drive will bring you to Greenway and #81. A short ride on #81 puts you back on #5 at Corbett, with #5/Mount Carmel Drive returning you to rural landscapes on flat country roads. North at Shipka Line means you are over halfway and on your way back towards the beach. Once in Shipka left on to Crediton Road brings you to #81/Main Street. A right here has you ride past the Speedway, knowing you are but a few kilometers to the hub of Grand Bend, and whatever refreshing reward you might like to pursue.

Grand Bend 36-50

Starts and finishes in the hub of the Bend. Make sure to stay in single file and together as you follow #81/Main Street East out of town. The highway curls to the south, so once past the Speedway move to the left turn lane and once again head east on #10/Crediton Road. A right at Shipka puts you on extended kilometers of rural landscapes. Cedar Swamp Road, McGillivray Drive, and Lieury Road are quiet roads passing farm fields, tree lined properties, country homes and through quaint villages and towns. Once you reach Dashwood, turning west on #83/Dashwood Road begins your ride back to Grand Bend. You are but 5 kilometers to finishing from the #21 intersection, but Port Blake Beach is across the highway should you care to enjoy beach and water vistas from shoreline shade. South on #21 to the Bend provides a large paved shoulder to ease your return back to Main Street, and all the amenities you can choose from to reward your cycling efforts.

Grand Bend 60+

Difficulty: Intermediate
Length: 67 km
Start: Grand Bend

Starts and finishes in the hub of the Bend. Make sure to stay in single file and together as you follow #81/Main Street East out of town. The highway curls to the south, so once past the Speedway move to the left turn lane and once again head east on #10/Credition Road. A right at Shipka puts you on extended kilometers of rural landscapes and vistas. Cedar Swamp Road, McGillvary Drive, Lieury Road, Bronson Line and Blackbush Line are quiet roads passing farm fields, tree lined properties and country homes. The long straight stretch from Lieury, through Mount Carmel and Dashwood, ends with a left at #84/Zurich-Hensall Road. A short, downhill 2 kilometers has you to Blackbush Road and once again pedaling rural roads. The right on #83/Dashwood Road signals the return to Grand Bend. South at the Highway #21 intersection provides a large paved shoulder to ease your return back to Main Street.
