Planting with Purpose – Native Tree Pick Up and Watershed Awareness Day
The Planting with Purpose native tree sale and Watershed Awareness Day event is on! Sales are open now through the ABCA website while supplies last. Pick-up event including vendors, booths, and nature activities will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, in Varna, at the Stanley Community Centre, from 9-11 a.m.
The tree sale initiative, called “Planting with Purpose”, encourages smaller-scale tree planting and naturalization projects and includes a new online purchasing portal for buying trees. The event is a partnership of Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) and the Municipality of Bluewater with support from the Blue Flag program and Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation.
