August 7 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Quiet: Quiet in the Land.

What happens when traditional values collide with global politics in a rapidly changing world? And what duty does an immigrant community owe its new homeland? These are the tough questions at the heart of Anne Chislett’s classic drama, Quiet in the Land. Set within a small Amish community on the eve of WWI, this beautiful story explores the conflict between father and son as the war catapults their isolated community head-first into the 20th century.

Chislett’s work exploded across Canada after its 1981 Blyth premiere, and was recognized with a Governor General’s Award two years later. This is its first revival at Blyth since 1997, and we’re thrilled to present it on the Harvest Stage.

Harvest Stage: 377 Gypsy Lane, Blyth (Blyth Fairgrounds)
