Discover the rich history of agriculture, threshing, and handcrafted hobbies at the Huron Pioneer Thresher & Hobby Show event series, September 5-7. This event offers excitement, learning, and fun for the whole family. Established in 1962 by steam engine and threshing machine enthusiasts, the Huron Pioneer Thresher & Hobby Show has expanded over the years, adding new exhibits, enhancing facilities, and inviting collectors to share their prized possessions and stories. The event now features a wide range of attractions for all ages.

The Main Street Arts Festival celebrates art and culture across the County! This year’s festival expands to three exciting days with these events:

  • Friday, Sept. 19, 6 p.m.: Between Trails & Tangled Veins – Artist Talk, Workshop & Gallery Tour with artist Autumn Ducharme and Blyth Festival Art Gallery
  • Saturday, Sept. 20, 11 a.m.: Draw cartoons with artist Mazie Lovie at the Huron County Library‘s Exeter Branch
  • Saturday, Sept. 20, 2-4 p.m.: Procession of the Species Costume & Prop Workshop with Trash Theatre Productions at the Huron County Library‘s Exeter Branch
  • Sunday, Sept. 21, 12-5 p.m.: Bayfield closes Main Street to cars and opens it to an immersive celebration of creativity! Enjoy art in the street from local and regional artists, including displays and exhibitions, artisan vendor booths, interactive art elements, and hands-on artmaking opportunities for all ages.

On September 20 celebrate harvest in downtown Clinton at the annual Harvest Fest! This event includes activities for all ages. Bring the kids out for a day of bouncy castles, face painting, rock climbing, and more. Don’t forget to check out the classic car show, see what local vendors are selling at the craft market, and enjoy live music.

Lake Huron Volkfest, an annual celebration of classic/vintage VW vans, buses, campers, bugs, and more, takes place on Sunday of September 28, on the Square, in Goderich. Enjoy live music, shop some amazing vendors who make and sell wonderful arts, crafts, clothing, vintage items, and other cool stuff, and eat and drink some delicious goodness from the food vendors.

Van Egmond House Ciderfest is an annual fall celebration on September 28 that can’t be missed! Enjoy craft demonstrations, commercial vendors, tours of Van Egmond House Museum, and a delectable array of apple fritters.

Mark your calendars for the 166th Howick-Turnberry Fall Fair, taking place on September 26–27, 2025, at the Howick Community Centre in Gorrie, Ontario. This cherished event showcases the region’s rich agricultural heritage and vibrant community spirit.
